@ frododarg: Yes Phil Collins is incredibly underated, and he was to me the most influential drummer in prog music. Carl Palmer however is incredibly good but not even half as creative, he was just 4/4 singlestroke, Phil gave tons of color to the songs, just listen to Robbery, Assault and Battery, Wot Gorilla?, or Firth of Fifth and you'll see what i mean.
Drummers like Phil Collins and Bill Bruford are certainly not underrated by Prog Rock lovers. Most of us know how incredible they are. I think drummers like Pierre van der Linden (Focus) are the ones who are really underrated/overlooked. He is up there with the best, but even (younger) Prog Rock fans don't know that. Check'm out!
Bill Bruford is F***ing awesome!!!!!!!!!! Don't believe me? Check out any King Crimson video. Well, not ANY one, but you know what I mean. Just check out King Crimson videos. You'll see him! Awesome!
@lmw289 You're wrong. Bruford is not just awesome...he is the best! Apart from his knowledge of polirythms and his precision when playing (at least to me, that defines his sound), he has so much creativity! Heart of the surise, Easy Money, the whole Red album, Starship Trooper, South side of the sky... And of course a combination of Bruford and Collins has to be a music bomb!
Thanks! But the performance itself has some considerable flaws, as well as the audio and video sync... which is strange, because the original video file is ok, the problem only rised when I uploaded it. Unfortunately I don't have time to work on this now, maybe after Christmas or something... And I am planning to post Mood For A Day, too... but it needs a bit more training.

Don't know how you'd pick between him and Bruford though. Bruford was always fun to watch because he made it look easy.
Palmer was never quite in the discussion for me, but hey, to each his own.
