Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has acknowledged receiving personal compensation from Freddie Mac. The former House speaker left open the possibility that his consulting firm received between $1.6 million and $1.8 million. (Nov. 16)

AP?!!!! You call this journalism? LOL. Newt also testified against them being bailed out. Newt also wants them broken up. He also wants to repeal Dodd Frank and Sarbanes Oxley. If you had any respect for the words "freedom of the press", you would take this cheap shot interview down and use youtube to give the entire story. I am with Newt on this one.

Get a clue! His company was paid. From that overhead was paid for, payrolls were met. I'm in business myself. I charge as much as I can for I do because I'm very good at it. If this crap really bothers you so much how about calling your local rep and asking him how much money they are making in the private sector while they are a public servant? Newt made money doing what he is good at. How much did Frank and Dodd get from Freddy and Fanny?

What phony alibi? When you work for a company, they pay you in money. Newt was a consultant and he told them NOT to engage in sub-prime loans. Their unwilingness to listen isn't his responsibility. Blaming Newt for the housing collapse is like blaming your mom for the current grain shortage because last week she bought a loaf of bread. Grow up.

So, Republicans concocted a phony alibi about Freddie Mac that supposedly absolved them of all responsibility for the Great Recession. Well, at least it's a "narrative" even if it's a lie. And some people are even dumb enough to buy it.
But now they want to nominate a guy who for eight years advised Freddie Mac and earned at least $1.6 million in the process?
And let's not even get into his "family values," lol.
Republican hypocrisy, hard as it is to believe, is hitting new lows!
