Brian McKnight, Regina Belle and Peabo Bryson

Among R&B Stars Featured on "Songs 4 Worship Soul"

The 14-Track Collection of Newly Recorded Gospel Anthems Releases
Nationally on March 31, 2009

Time Life Music and two veteran R&B producers, Preston Glass and David
Nathan, have joined forces to create a new recording of modern gospel
classics as sung by soul music legends. Songs 4 Worship Soul is the
first all-original gospel recording in Time Life and its partner
Integrity Music's wildly successful Songs 4 Worship CD series. The brand
has sold over 20 million units worldwide. "We're proud to bring together
such incredible R&B artists with truly meaningful and inspirational
music," says Mitchell Peyser, VP of Time Life Music.
"Gospel music fans will be thrilled to hear some of their favorite R&B
artists going back to their gospel roots and doing these great songs."

The artists include Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle who unite for a
dynamic rendition of Richard Smallwood's "Total Praise." Bryson then
tackles "Shout to the Lord" while Belle puts her stamp on "Grateful."
Tony Award winner Melba Moore joins former duet partner Freddie Jackson
for a riveting rendition of Andrae Crouch's "My Tribute: To God Be the
Glory." Disco queen Evelyn "Champagne" King trades her dance card for a
tender touch on Yolanda Adams' "Open My Heart" while balladeer Deniece
Williams brings the funk on Fred Hammond's "Glory to Glory to Glory."

The project also features two-thirds of the `80s pop trio Shalamar:
Jody Watley covering Stevie Wonder's "Heaven Helps Us All" and Howard
Hewett singing "Redeemer." Teddy Pendergrass updates the Edwin Hawkins
Singers' classic "Oh Happy Day." Brian McKnight, American Idol champion
Ruben Studdard and Earth Wind & Fire's Maurice White all contribute
original songs. Producer Preston Glass has co-written Natalie Cole's
"Miss You Like Crazy," Kenny G's "Don't Make Me Wait for Love" and
Aretha Franklin's "Who's Zoomin' Who?" He played keys on Lionel Richie's
"Dancing on the Ceiling", guitar on Teena Marie's "Lover Girl" and
worked hundreds of other sessions. Co-producer, David Nathan, is an
esteemed R&B music historian. Aside from writing the bookSoulful Divas,
for 30 years Nathan has interviewed a who's who of the music world for
magazines such as Blues & Soul and Billboard.
