Some scenes from a very wet Relief of Derry parade in Londonderry, August 11th 2007.

The parade by the Apprentice Boys of Derry marked the 318th anniversary of the Relief of the city in 1689 from Siege and terrible famine.

15,000 member of the Apprentice Boys paraded through the city accompanied by over 125 bands.

The parade was enjoyed by many tourists and the police praised the organisers.

  • Can I just clarify, what sounds like people booing was a group of people trying to egg on one of the bands, by doing what was more like a 'Zulu' impression. It was all light-hearted and this WAS NOT nationalists booing the bands.
