Some cycle impressions of the city of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. First a view of the river Waal bridge from the 1930s, then a few images of the road from the South-East into the city, the car free inner city and the streets between the upper and the lower city. Also views of all the bike parking facilities around the central railway station.

The city of Nijmegen is arguably the oldest city in the Netherlands. It was founded by the Romans. It has an upper city and a lower city on the waterfront of the river Waal. That is a side river of the river Rhine and actually holds the main flow of the river nowadays.
