  • thank you Pastor John. amazing words spoke to my heart.

  • The love of God:

Not: when God makes much of you

But when: at great cost to Himself, gives you the inclination to make much of Him and the joy of making much of Him

  • God mightn't always give me what I want, but He definitely knows what I need.

  • @dave1122drum Because the same Bible also says to pray for and lay hands on the sick for healing. Your presupposition that God is good therefore whatever he does will be good is correct, but God also commands prayer, and answers prayer. "Whatever you ask of the Father, in my name, He will give it to you" & "You have not because you ask not"

This kind of imbalance to the nature of God and scripture (fatalism) can become quite a problem, I've been there, God bless you and stay in the Word.

  • @EvolutionXPfeiffer I hope I wouldn't be wasting my time. I feel strongly that something has to be done about the very immoral and vindictive teachings of the religions, and these US preachers (hypocritical money-grubbing charlatans that they are) are spreading poison.

Look at Christopher Hitchens on YT, or ZOMGitsCriss. Hear some rational propositions, instead of this superstitious nonsense.

There are no gods, no afterlife, no magical beings or actions.

The world is wonderful, not magical.

  • Prayers are never answered; things happen or they don't! Those who believe that there must be a god to answer prayers for their own needs are the most hypocritical people it is possible to be.

Luckily, they are wrong - because there's no one listening; there are no magical beings - but just think of the utter selfishness they are showing: "Help me! My needs are greatest."

Anyway, it's as childish as believing that Santa visits my house and gives me exactly what I want.- it's the same thing!

  • Thanks bro John, thank You LORD.

  • So mind over matter piper? Have enough faith(optimism) and something will happen? Let me say it clear everyone PRAYER DOES NOT TRUST GOD'S WILL FUTURE PRESENT....IT TRIES TO CHANGE IT!!!! Ironically, it is goes against what god has already set in motion. Whatever god does is good. The bible tells us to except prosperity or calamity. Why try to change that if god does want people to die of cancer cause god ordained it there time to die? If someone is sick just say whatever happens it is good.

  • Found on internet~ The karma approach to confidently interacting with other people: how you do unto others controls what you think others will do unto you!
