hey u asked heres the answer the phase button is for wen you are at a gig and you hear that wow whats wrong with the bass its not as hard ass yestrurday! well what it is or how it works is that a room size or shape ove room is causing the bass to cancel out 1 sub to the other just go to 1 sub flip the switch and boom you will hear the magic hapen thats it its that simple, good luck and enjoy but for the bang for buck i got the gvx 18 and it makes the same bass at half the volume
-

Very nice subs! I like them! I was looking at the Mackie SWA 1501 & 1801 They look everything the same for half the price.

The phase switch (180 degrees) is meant to put the speakers in phase with corresponding equipment. When speakers are out of phase it means that the speakers are reaching their peaks and depths at different times. The bass will therefore cancel out itself. This is useful if you are mixing different types of subs (which is not recommended) so that all of your speakers move in the same direction at the same time.

what weighs this subwoofer?
-
do the wheels vibrate and make any rattling sound when you use the subwoofer? and are the wheels detachable?
-
so you take away your bass, with 2 subwoofers further away then 1 meter you can best put the phasebutton in Normal, so short: when you put the woofer in phase, he works just (upsidedown? i don;t know the english word,) but in stead of in goes the speaker out, and instead of out it goes in, so there is no air pressure, so you don't hear the bass, if you have any questions you can always contact me,

Yeah I've used the 3000 for two gigs already and it works perfect, really like it a lot, I will be getting the xponent eventually later on this year, but I'll keep using this bcd3000 cause its really good.

Sorry guys I have to disagree here.. the build of the bdc 3000 is just horrible... it's plasticy, all the buttons are clicky and it just feels like it's made on a budget..
I much prefer my REALLY old Denon 2500f decks to the bcd 3000, even if it's possible to to many many more tricks with the bcd.
The subs look amazing!

Yes actually, I like it, but its an entry level thing, I actually am using M-audio xponent right now which is a ton better even with touch sensitive wheels, but triple the price too, so obviusly if you are on a budget yes buy the bcd3000, BUT if you are really into this, I would recommend something different... like the xponent, which is full of features or at least an omni control from numark... I use xponent with torq and virtual vinyl and love it, and use connectiv timecodes luv it 2

lol the BCD3000, and iMac let me down at a gig, and it kept cutting out..... so i spent $2000 on proper decks, and they are GREAT. BCD3000 is great for beginning dj's :)
