i think most of the non-air-con. buses are generally still good in condition, the bus company should keep more non-air con. buses rather than buying new ones. The new buses are in EURO 4/5 standard but they were equipped with air-con. Air-con is a air pollution generator and it weigh out the advantages of Euro 4/5.
Unfortunately, the HK gov. would like to replace all the old buses with lower standard than Euro 4/5 however they have overlooked the impact that air-con brings to the environment.
