My first comment didn't go through. I basically said you sidestepped my question by saying nothing relevant and your criticisms of the movie show a lack of understanding of what a movie is. Not to mention you have never heard of Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salo, which explains this quote: "graphic violence, torture and rape, sounds like the director needs to work out some issues. Edgy and Gritty doesnt just green light rampant rape and beating women to death, thats not a movie."

For the record, Blindness isn't one of my favorite movies or one that I really like at all. Your comments just show how ignorant you are towards cinema.

One: The genius is Saramgo, author of the book from which the film is based. Two: blindness is metaphorical; it's the indifference between people, and the fact that there is no more mutual solidarity.

IDK how u watched this with your family. I almost turned it off with just my GF and I. Totally not reality based, not believeable, not entertaining, not even shock value entertaining just uncomfortable and unnecc. graphic violence, torture and rape, sounds like the director needs to work out some issues. Edgy and Gritty doesnt just green light rampant rape and beating women to death, thats not a movie.

This movie was all about shock value. nothing much of this would REALLY happen unless youre a sick dude making a movie and trying to shock people with badly made up scenes of violence and rape...JM wouldnt have allowd any of that if she was really sighted. No explanation, no revelation, just horror constantly. They had to make up the plot of them delivering less food for no reason to just kickstart the beginnings of a problem that got way too far out of control for reality purposes.
