Perfume Pagoda - Chua Huong (near Hanoi, Vietnam)

Perfume Pagoda (Chua Huong) is located in Vietnam's Ha Dong Province, about 60 kilometers south of Hanoi. The Pagoda itself is in a cave on a mountain. To get to the cave, you must go to the village of My Duc, take a rowboat from the village to the mountain, and then hike up the mountain. The villagers of My Duc take turns rowing the boats. They are the most in-shape group of people you have ever seen. Kids 14 years of age as well as grandmothers in their 60's take their turn rowing boats full of well-fed tourists up and down the river.
