An ILS landing into Lindbergh Field using an autopilot approach in a 737. TrackIR head tracking is used for the camera movements.

It is hard to see what I am doing, so I am providing a time line of my actions. I do not offer this as the proper way to do anything, it is just how I did it in this video.

00:05 Opened the GPS, press NRST - scrolled to the correct airport(outer knob) - ENT - scrolled to freq page(inner knob) - scrolled to ILS freq (outer knob) - ENT - hold CLR to return to map.

This finds and auto tunes the NAV1 standby frequency to the ILS frequency.

00:27 Toggled the standby NAV1 frequency to active. The aircraft is now able to receive the ILS information for the correct runway.

00:50 Changed heading, altitude, and speed values in the autopilot.

02:00 Lowered a few degrees of flaps as the aircraft slowed.

02:10 Pressed APP to engage the approach hold.

02:40 Aircraft automatically turned to line up with localizer.

03:50 Lowered Landing gear, slowed to 180kt and lowered flaps to 25 degrees.

04:35 Aircraft automatically started the decent as it intercepted the glide slope.

04:53 Turned off autothrottle. I manually controlled throttle setting from here on out.

06:09 Turned off command autopilot at 300 ft AGL. The rest of the flight was hand flown.

06:38 Touchdown. I raised flaps and deployed spoilers. I used wheel brakes to slow the aircraft down.

  • why did u raise flaps on landing they help u slow down

  • My ILS landings are all screwed up now. last one I did crash landed me at the end of the runway

  • nicely flown man ;) hahaha you flared about 10° thats a little too much :D

  • @JamesMac329k If you are on the Localizer you wont need Altitude Hold

  • what airoport?

  • @fsxgamer1 okay bud heres what you have to do: be centered (as best you can) to the ILS (that green arrrow thingy) and then as you get closer use your altitude to slowly drop your altitude and then when YOU GET IN THE ILS ZONE ONLY thats when u can take off the altitude hold adn hit APP, but usually it does it itself, also, make sure u have both a horizontal and vertical glide slope (the vert and horiz. line next to the attitiude indicator) if you have just the horiz, it will crash, u need both

  • You turn off the ils beeping sound the same way you turned it on. Simply click on the nav1 button at the bottom of the radio stack.

  • Is your altitude hold switch on. :)

  • Why Do I Crash I Do Everythin Plzz Reply Man

  • @bigsparrow1 Is Multi Crew Exprience a download, if so, is it free. And tell me were to get it.
