the people commenting that the guy made a "mistake" are far too lenient-
the girl was 14 & he was 21. she was a child. there's a reason why a law of statutory rape exists- because a child at 14 cannot, with proper presence of mind or judgement, TRULY & cautiously make sound decisions such as to have sex with a man. the responsibility of these decisions rightly fall on the ADULT in the matter, & therefore he was wrong in the absolute. people have every right to question his judgement & safety.

@EarthlyMaidenLita Correct...he made a mistake, and was punished for that, but that is TOTALLY different than doing that with small children, being a pedophile, or abusing a 3 year old child. A 20 year old and a 14 year old is a different mistake, and the mother has completely labeled him for something he is not.

I have to say that I think the man is telling the truth. He can't stand pedophilia, he actually seems embarrassed about what happened in his past, and he does acknowledge that his decision wasn't extremely smart.
