Bullfrog : Rana catesbeiana ウシガエル

I have 2 bullfrogs. This is the big one.
The bullfrog was imported into Japan in 1918 from U.S.A. to eat.
But the Japanese did not like to eat a frog.
The bullfrogs runs away from the pond for culture and lives now all over Japan.

looks half dead, frogs are very quick, and ventri frogs live in swamps and that water is nasty, they love mossy green water, gives them a area to hide while they close in on prey.

It's probably cold out, he seems dark and sluggish. This happens when it gets too cold, their skin turns dark and they hardly move. The water doesn't really need to be that clean, frogs prefer brackish water anyway to hide in. My bullfrogs look like this every spring, but by June they are bright green.
