In 1964, Arthur C. Clarke makes some scarily accurate predictions about the future we now know, even to the latest breakthroughs of today and things to come.

Most likely from the episode "The Knowledge Explosion" from the very first series, broadcast on 21st Sept 1964 - thanks to whoever found the info.

  • ..from a facebook post I had to put to justify a comment but forgive me)

if ANY religious or shamanic or spiritualists got got even ONE of the foresights close to what Arthur reels off in a 20mins, then religion would still be simply a lucky but moronic endeavour... this is 5 years before the moon landing and is (for once!) a proven, borne out evidential video form of TRUE genius... science is the most spiritual endeavour mankind has ever undertaken... atheism is the umbrella of this fact.

  • This guy was a pedo, right ?

  • "Oh I see, In the future we will treat the earth like a whore"@thecokebitch

Not just the Earth dude, Mars, Venus...Kepler 22B. Onward n upward buddy.

  • The happy part of the story? Mr. Clarke lived to see this stuff, dying in 2008. RIP, buddy.

  • @BrocTheMagnifico We do.....

  • min 5:30 "the satellite will make possible instant contact and communication with anyone,

anywhere...we will no longer commute, just communicate"
