The Queen's Coronation 1953 - St Mawes Children's Coronation 2002

Another Children's Coronation is planned for 4th June 2012

The Children's Coronation, 3rd June 2008. For their Golden Jubilee celebrations, children up to ten years old, from St Mawes School, Cornwall, performed a detailed re-enactment of The Queen's Coronation. Villagers created a 2.5m tall golden Coronation Coach. a Coronation Chair, authentic dresses, robes and regalia and principal items of the Crown Jewels. Royal approval was later received from HM The Queen and HRH the Duke of Cornwall.
