actually 3rd gave 3rd party publishers more help with OGL. WotC pulled a Stop & Deist on 3.5 and 4th ed publishers.

To be honest, 7 years ago I was dreaming to see AD&D 3rd edition. Advanced rules, more options, not just a book with more spells and feats... yeah, I know: I was too naive.

@Stormcrow180 but in 4th edition all is too schematic

If it's not about money then why are there 3 Players Handbooks with Core classes in them? 3 DM Guides etc.I won't say there's nothing good about 4th ed there's quite a few thing I like about it.
That said I'm moving to Pathfinder because it's got every thing I love about 4th & 3.5. Plus there only ONE core book, granted it costs $60,but it has everything you NEED to play.Yeah there are more books & modules by now, however they aren't necessary.

From the way she droned on and on and on and on.. I can see why they posted Feb 27 to Mar 2, 2008 in the beginning of this video. Feels like she droned on for four days. OYE!

She put me to sleep....

4th ed pretty much sucks. The changes they made were totally lame and didn't do anything other than to dumb down the system even more after it was dumbed down to an extent with 3rd/3.5 ed. If you want to start up a D&D gaming session I would definitely recommend sticking with 3rd ed. don't waste your money.

"The innovation is just...BIG......" In one fell swoop she just summarized the level of her intellect and got critically hit by the mind spell "THE DUMB", naturally failing her roll and every other roll afterward.
I feel that i should point out that you don't require any Rules for Roleplaying. and if you simplify the rules for combat e.t.c it takes less time to resolve those situations leaving more time fore actual roleplay

Not about the money? There are now, what, 6 core books at something like $40 a pop. Pathfinder manages to fit all of D&D into two books, one of which is a bestiary. Pathfinder is the true D&D 4e, and a hell of a lot cheaper too.
