This is a pictorial essay for the book Touching Spirit Bear
1. My theme is healing.
2. The reason I choose the song "The Saints are Coming" is not because of the music. It is the story behind the music. The song was played in a concert after hurricane Katrina as a fund raiser to help the people living there. As well as I choose the live song because the people there cheering represent a community coming together to help heal the city after a disaster. The people are a needed factor to create an environment in which healing can begin.
3. The pictures are to represent things getting better or healing. The flowers are to represent death sadness and pain, while in the end I show an in bloom flower to represent the healing. The rocks balancing, the bonzi tree and the fire are all to show patience balance and time. All of these are used to heal someone.
4. The dominoes at the end although they may seem an odd thing to put into this while the theme is healing, I think do mean a lot. I see them to show that while you are being healed how delicate and fragile you really are. That the slightest step towards the wrong direction can tweak one thing and creating a domino effect setting you off towards what you were at the beginning.

I liked how you used a song with a story behind it. the flower at the beginig was good becuse it showed how the flower was healing and becoming beautiful agian.

I liked the song it was very good and the pic's went good with it. Too many pictures of the flower at the begining.

What was with the flower at the start? Other then that is was great. Loved the story behind the song.
