Wow eight years is bullshit, Just because you decide to punish your child for their wrong doings. Just because the kid wasn't strong enough to take punishment does not mean that the stepmother should get jail time for doing the only kind of punishments that work.

My thoughts to the foster family who wanted to adopt her. You obviously loved her and wanted her. She should have gone to them...dad should not have gotten custody....he didn't care about her for the first four years of her life. CPS should have terminated parental rights for both.

I have a 7 year old sister and the whole time I was thinking of her. I cried the whole time. I never cry or even feel that sad for things like this, but I actually personally FELT for the girl. I can only imagine what parents feel like when horrible things happen to their kids. And what makes it worse, is that this lovely girl doesn't have someone to care for her and be sad over her passing. But thats where we come in, we must remember little Sirita.
