I've just finished Geoffrey Robertson's book on the church and it's an excellent reminder of why we complain about PopeRatzinger and his church. and its violent mafia connections as well as the history of sexual abuse in the church

Purple and red robed preists are the couture of the vatican.. any google search will show you that and their inquisition is still in ful swing

Just a thought.. Could he be talking about Pontius Pilate the man in a purple dress (Roman Gown)...Jesus hiding behind his beard, along with the high priests with tall hats?
