(*continued*) I just had one question for anyone who can answer: if I got accepted into the FC program and I was living in San Diego, CA, would I be able to work with a mentor in that area, or would I have to relocate to L.A. since the market for filmmaking is bigger there? Thanks in advance.

either way. FC can find you a mentor in San Diego, or you can relocate to LA where there are more mentors (and more job opportunities). Whichever you feel most comfortable with.

I've been interested in this Film Connection program ever since I first learned about it. Problem is, I doubt I'd be accepted into it anytime soon since I'm still paying off an old student loan. But once I get that out of the way, I'd love to be a part of this program.

Well you must be approved for financing if needed then you meet with your prospective mentor. If the mentor sees that you are worth mentoring( meaning that you'll be a good student) you start meeting with your mentor on a regular basis. The "connection"part is mostly you get exposure in the film field. Learning all the tricks of the trade, make friends within the industry, gain skills.
