Portland Mayoral Forum at Elemental - August 13, 2012

Candidates for Mayor of Portland Charlie Hales and Jefferson Smith engage in a forum hosted by Elemental Technologies on August 13, 2012. The theme of the forum centered around software and entrepreneurialism and how these topics fit into Portland's future. Roy Kaufmann served as Moderator.

The forum was captured, produced and streamed live by Elemental, which distributed the adaptive bitrate streams to PCs, tablets and mobile devices. Thanks goes out to Blaze Streaming Media for its assistance in the production.

Very proud to be invited to be included in this technology forum. Loved the Elemental video service, by the way.

Also at the beginning they kept mentioning that the audience should get engaged in the discussion. This practice is not just for forums, please remember to engage in our democracy. Our current system needs people actively engaged to stand up for the public good. Without that, we fall to the whims of other more focused interest groups.
