Close. He was 6'8" at 13 when that story happened. That's not uncommon though for people who are destined to be that tall. I knew a guy in high school who grew to be 6'11" (skinny white pothead, absolutely REFUSED to play basketball) and he was already 6'6" when he entered 8th grade.
