@iwrotefuck how do you come up with that statistic? Is there something to back this up? All I know is that, if people have an English surname Chan or Chen (陳), then they are likely to speak Chinese. For anyone whose surname is Chin (陳), then it is very likely that those people will speak in English only. The reason behind this is because the "Chin" people who went to America, from the southeastern China, during the 1848 Gold Rush, received their last name translation as "Chin".

@Imjinwar he was born in Canada and studied secondary school in Canada too. After that he moved to Hong Kong for high school (inter), but not finished. As you know Hong Kong people can speak english, so i'm not surprised why he can speak English well.
