Pandit Vikash Maharaj is an internationally acclaimed Sarod maestro from India. A 14th generation musician born into the widely-respected Benaras Gharana (musical family), he has performed at music festivals around the globe to enthusiastic audiences.

Pandit Vikash Maharaj is well known for his unique approach to his instrument. He has a wide understanding of music that sets him apart from other performers. The melody and fluency he expresses on his instrument speaks of deep emotions and moods with clarity and precision rarely heard on the Sarod. His knowledge of the healing benefits of music make listening to his Sarod performances a truly powerful experience. He received his early education as a Tabla player from his father Late Pandit Nanku Maharaj. As a teenager, Pandit ji has developed a natural inclination towards learning the Sarod. His mother inspired him to change instruments and organized Sarod lessons from the late guru Shri Rajesh Chandra Moitra of the prestigious Maihar Senia Gharana (Pandit Ravi shankar and Ustad Ali Akbar Khans lineage). The legacy of his family's tradition, which also includes his grandfathers, Late Pandit Bade Ram Das and the Late Pandit Kanthe Maharaj, his maternal uncle Padma Vibhushan Late Pandit Kishan Maharaj and Late grand teacher Ustad Baba Allauddin Khan Sahib, is a rare and precious gift that distinguishes Pandit Vikash Maharaj from his peers.
Joshua Geisler is a multi-instrumentalist performer (guitar and bansuri), composer, producer, instrument maker, and author. While studying guitar at Berklee College of Music, he developed an interest in the music of other cultures. At the same time, he was beginning to explore meditation. This led him to start playing the bansuri, the traditional bamboo flute from northern India. After graduation, he moved to upstate New York to study North Indian Classical bansuri playing with the great American bansuri master, Steve Gorn. This was followed by multiple trips to India to study with Pandit Raghunath Seth, one of the living legends of Indian flute playing. There he began making his own flutes, and has since innovated the design of the bansuri in a way that substantially increases its projection and response. During this period, he also studied applying Indian melodic techniques to the electric guitar with the sarod maestro Pandit Vikash Maharaj.
