wen you cut the serving melt the leftover bit of string an i garentee that it will never come undone try it on your next bow

what was used tradtionaly for bow strings?? and will basswood fiber or plant fiber string work for a 60lb yew bow?

You mention 7.5 inches total length - approx how far above and below the center of the string?

@55breakin80 - It measures approximately 3 3/4 to 4 inches above the center, and 3 3/4 to 4 inches below the center of the string.

what should i use as string if im making a bow as a project, some say nylon, but what thickness, like a thread or like a shoelace?

There is material made specifically for crafting bow strings. You can find it on our web site under Strings. You can also find pre-made bow strings on our web site.

will plant fiber such as hemp or flax.work for a 70lb yew bow?? thanx,i read it will work

We wouldn't recommend it. But if you do, use hemp over flax. Even then, make certain you use quality hemp and make a sturdy string.
