Microsoft and Telstra strategic alliance

Microsoft Corp. and Telstra today announced plans for a a broad strategic alliance to bring together business software applications, mobile services and devices, and integrated computer and telephone services for the Australian market.

The alliance intends to offer a range of next generation services that are low maintenance and simple to install and use. A wide range of business and government segments would potentially benefit from an array of new services including hosted business applications, mobile services and devices and unified communication - or applications across mobiles and PCs.
