The Bruce C. Allen Scholarship Fund has been established in the name of Bruce Allen, a visual artist, graphic designer and songwriter/guitarist with the Minnesota-based pop music group "The Suburbs". Bruce died December 7th, 2009 and it is the sincere wish of Bruce's friends, family, band mates and fans to establish a memorial scholarship fund that honors Bruce's memory and his singular contributions to Minnesota's art and music culture. B.C. was a great supporter of their fans. I was drunk half of the time I talked to him during their gigs and he was always great with me. I always talked music and art with him and he was actually interested in my views. It was so cool over those years to be able to talk with him and I will cherish those times with B.C. and the band.
