Koobface virus (win32.Koobface.b for Facebook) has been detected in December 2008. In March of 2009, it has gotten intense.

Koobface's job is to send an e-mail to all Facebook users. When the user receives the e-mail, it generally has an odd subject or body text ("LOL, "You gotta See My Video I Uploaded!!!", "Tell Me If You Like My Vid", etc). Along with the body text is a link to the video.

If you by any chance clicked on that link, you will be directed to a website where they ask you to download an update to Adobe Flash Player. What you are about to download is NOT Adobe Flash Player update. Therefore, don't download it!

Please rate, comment (positive comments), ask questions, and subscribe if you love my videos. Thanks.

  • @MrCodfan09 Try boot into Safe Mode during startup and run Malware Bytes, or just run Malware Bytes within normal mode.

  • Well I have AVG, is that good?

  • @RayaBinSaeng Any software is just as good, but I personally use Kaspersky on Windows and nothing on Mac right now.

  • MY FRIEND SAID FACEBOOK HAS A VIRUS IS IT TRUE

  • @mattpsp401 Yes, it is true. Please be careful. :)

  • It very true to use the task manager, it more helpful if you clicked on the link, press ctrl+alt+del to delete the viruses.

  • @1AppleMaker Oh i sure did. Camstudio is just the best. If u know how to use it. It has no stupid unregistered messages, its open source!

  • @kdgl1241 You should of saved your bucks and asked a friend who is knowledged with stuff like this to help you. I would be able to help you but you may be far from where I am.

  • Your PC will start either acting slow or you'll notice annoying popups. Either way--you don't want to know what damage it will cause you.
