Baudrillard is difficult but I think that probably as a consequence of the Matrix film, that he is completely misunderstood. Understanding him is made even more difficult as he continuously contradicts himself. Remember Nietzsche's dictum " God is dead ", that expressed a moment of great change which had somehow gone unnoticed and Nietzsche's subsequent writings worked thru this proposition. Somehow i feel we have always been in a digital world.This reality itself is an illusion.He said that in digital world in future we dont know exactly what is happening.But in "real" world , we dont know either! Because its like most of the universe we cant even detect with any device , let alone with senses.
