Beautiful Distraction ;; Episode Five

Sorry for the careless mistakes. I kept on writing "Joe" instead of "Shane". But don't worry. Shane is no longer in this series so hopefully, there won't be any careless mistakes :)

[[Demi's POV]]

Dad picked me up at the airport. He hugged me when I reached him as we didn't met for almost a year. My dad and my mother were divorced when I was 13. I lived with my dad for 3 years and then I was sent to New York because I got accepted into New York University.
That's where I met Shane. I still remembered what he wore when I first met him. He wore a black t-shirt with a jeans and a converse. Simple yet handsome. He was the first guy that caught my eyes when I entered the campus. And he's also the first one that talked to me as I got lost in the campus.
Little did I know, I was crying. Dad stopped his car at the side of the road and looked at me.

Patrick: Demi, are you okay?
Demi: No, dad. Im not. (she broke down crying histerically)
Patrick: (he hugged Demi, comforting his daughter) Shhh.. Be strong, honey. Im sure Shane won't like it if he knew you are crying.
Demi: I can't dad. I tried, I tried not to cry but I can't. I love him, I love him more than anything. I..
Patrick: (rubbed Demi's back) Shhh. Im sure he loves you too, honey.
Demi: (sniff)
Patrick: (let go of Demi)
Demi: (she looked outside the window and saw a beach in front of her) Can I.. Go there?
Patrick: Sure, honey. Our house is just right there. (he pointed to a house in front of the beach)
Demi: You bought a new house?
Patrick: (he nodded his head)
Demi: I'll walk home later. Love you, dad. (she walked out from her dad's car and walked slowly towards the ocean)

I walked and walked and walked until I reached the ocean. I watched the wave and listened to it as I breathed in the air.
I took a sit and closed my eyes. Images of Shane flashed in my mind. I ignored the tears in my eyes and let it escaped. "Be strong, honey. Im sure Shane won't like it if he knew you are crying."
"Promise me, you won't cry if I died." "I love you more than you love me, Demi."
Those words kept on repeating in my mind.

[[With Joe]]

Denise: (knocked on Joe's door)
Joe: Come in.
Denise: (entered the room with breakfast on her hand)
Joe: Mom, I don't wanna eat.
Denise: No, you have to eat. Im forcing you.
Joe: (groaned) Mom, nooooo. Im not hungry.
Denise: (she placed the food on the night stand and looked at Joe) If you don't wanna eat, it means you hate me.
Joe: Mom, please don't do this.
Denise: (looked at Joe, raising her eyebrows)
Joe: Fine, I eat.
Denise: That's my boy. You haven't eat for almost a week. I don't want you to get skinny.
Nick: (entered the room) Aww, Joe the baby is finally eating after being force by mom. So sweet.
Joe: (rolled his eyes) Shut up, Nick.
Nick: Im telling the truth, okay? Oh anyway, mom. Im going out.
Denise: With who?
Nick: Selena. She wanted me to acompany her shopping.
Denise: Oh okay. Say my hi to her.
Nick: I will. Love you, mom. (walked away)

[[With Demi]]
~Demi's POV

I took out a piece of paper and a pen from my bag. I started writing a note. A note to Shane. I wrote down everything in my heart.
After Im done, I stood up and searched for an empty bottle. Lucky enough, I found one. I took it and kept my letter into the bottle.
I walked to the ocean and threw the bottle away.

Demi: I love you, Shane. And I always will.

I said and I sat down. I opened my ponytail and let the wind blew my hair. I felt safe. I felt as if Im in Shane's arms.
Then, I heard footsteps behind me. I bet it was dad so I ignored and kept on staring at the ocean. But when the footsteps stopped next to me, I looked up.
It was not my dad. It was someone else.

Sorry if its short. Wonder who is that person?
