The Oregon State men's basketball team will host the 2nd Annual Nike N7 Oregon State Men's Basketball Game presented by Spirit Mountain Casino in its regular season opener against CSU Bakersfield on Saturday, Nov. 12th, at 1:30 p.m. in Gill Coliseum.

The Beavers are partnering with Nike N7 and Spirit Mountain Casino once again to honor Native American Heritage Month and will wear special turquoise Nike uniforms like they did last year in the inaugural N7 game and the special edition Nike N7 Air Max Destiny designed in collaboration with Native American artist Bunky Echo-Hawk. The turquoise color of the Nike uniforms is a distinct departure from Oregon State's traditional orange and black and is deeply symbolic of friendship and community in Native American culture.

"We are really excited about the N7 game and our partnership with Nike and partnership with the Native American and Aboriginal community," Oregon State head coach Craig Robinson said. "Having this game not only means a lot to us as a team, but it means a lot to Oregon State as an organization. We stand by bringing sport to areas that don't have them and it's so important for everybody to be out there and getting some activity in. It's just really exciting to have Nike as a partner again."

Nike N7 is Nike's commitment to bring sport and all its benefits to Native American and Aboriginal communities in North America through the N7 Fund, Nike N7 collection and Nike N7 program for Native communities across the U.S. and Canada.

• The N7 Fund provides grants to grassroots community organizations committed to helping Native youth unleash their potential through sport. Since it began in 2009, The Nike N7 Fund has generated more than $1 million to help Native American and Aboriginal non-profit organizations provide access to sport for youth.

• The Nike N7 collection is performance footwear and apparel created with insights from Native American culture and Nike's Considered Design ethos. The collection raises awareness beyond Native American and Aboriginal communities for the N7 Program and the N7 Fund.

• Through the Nike N7 program, Native American and Aboriginal Health Organizations, centers and communities can access Nike product at reduced cost via nike.net to provide as inspiration for health promotion and disease prevention.

"It's an honor for Nike N7 to partner with Oregon State University and the men's basketball team for its annual Nike N7 game ," said Sam McCracken, General Manager of Nike N7. "N7 exists to help improve the health and wellness of Native communities by bringing access to sport and physical activity to all of its people, with a focus on youth. Coach Robinson and Oregon State University made a bold step last year by becoming the first college team to partner with N7 and it's a tradition we are proud to continue."

Single game tickets are $20 for chairback seats and $15 for upper level bench seats. Group tickets of 20 or more will be available for $15 for chairback seats and $10 for bench seats. Fans can also purchase a commemorative Nike N7 t-shirt from Beaver Authentics for $15 and receive free admission to the game.
