Thanks for the info. I have had 3 cats for 10 years and I just realized that they pee. I always wondered why the carpet was wet.

While my explanation might be also correct when applied to your situation, one must always remember that whatever rules the universe imposes on itself, cats are exempt and may be subject to an alternative, inconsistant set of rules which originate with themselves.
