The Santa Teresa Historic Tramway is a suburban tramway network in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is the only remaining metropolitan tram system in Brazil (and South America), and also the oldest in operation, having run continuously since its opening in 1859. All other cities have closed their systems, and only three towns - Belém, Campinas & Santos have re-instituted the tram as a heritage service.
People said that this tram is extremely dangerous. Once in a while you could see a huge wall poster saying that people should not use this tram. Well I think it was one of the coolest route tram can go :) People jumping on and of - if you hang outside you don´t have to pay ;)
