Petition 1247 McKenzie Friends for Scotland had its latest hearing at the Scottish Parliament's Petitions Committee on 04 May 2010.

The Petitions Committee decided to write to the Lord President on issues relating to McKenzie Friends being able to charge a fee for their services (a fee much cheaper than any lawyer would charge their client) and also ask the Lord President, Lord Hamilton to retain the term "McKenzie Friend" ...
