I wish S&W's customer sevice was as good as the work the Perfomance Center puts out! After my last deling with the customer service center at S&W i will never buy another S&W! Ever!!!
@regjoe30 - with all do respect, are you stating that guns manufactured in America 'ALL' go through this procedure? Don't get me wrong, as most of my weapons are made in the USA, but I've never heard there is a difference between, say a Glock and a Smith & Wesson. ...This being the SW Performance Center is what makes the difference between a Glock or a regular SW made in the assembly line. True?
@regjoe30, i do put my personal touch to every part, and hold strictly to print, (better actually), but do not get to individually mate and match every part. i am in production and not assembly. this, what you are showing here is what sets American manufacturing apart from the rest.
i've been a machinist for 15+ years and make some of the most intricate internal parts for FLIR, and have the utmost respect for these folks, we don't do that. i never knew this level of hand-work was involved. true matched lapping is incredible! thanks for posting
