The village of Bilin reenacted James Cameron's new film Avatar during todays weekly demonstration. Five Palestinian, Israeli and international activists were painted blue, with pointy ears and tales, resembling the Avatar characters. Like Palestinians, the Avatars fight imperialism, although the colonizers have different origins. The Avatars presence in Bilin today symbolizes the united resistance to imperialism of all kinds.

  • clowns :)

  • @tomiko183 Have you heard of the group "Jewish Voice for Peace"? They're wonderful peace angels.

  • This peaceful demonstration really affected me when I watched it on this worldwide forum. I've been standing up for the rights of the Palestinians ever since.

Palestinians, you never know the difference a little peaceful demonstration can make. Your peaceful actions may be bigger than you realize.

  • My apologies from Israel for all of the facist israeli pigs commenting here...

just want people to know that there ARE reasonable people in israel, and not all of us want stupid and senceless wars...

  • AVATAR NATIVES

"No to the wall!" the natives say. "Please let freedom have it's way."

The boundaries their love can't cross are prison walls with a heavy cost.

Their land was taken, their homes were crushed. To safer grounds these families rushed.

Behind the wall, they see their land, now stolen by Israel's command.

  • Families pushed to survival's brink listen to God and stop to think

of peaceful ways to end this war, in brilliant shades of Avatar.

They will win, I hope and pray if love and reason have their way.

When the wall comes down, the world will cheer for both to unite in a peace so dear.

It is not “shifting blame” to note the reaction to other similar protests in the region. Arab governments shoot protesters, while tear gas is a non-lethal way to react. Blaming Israel for actions taken in Libya, Sudan, Bahrain and Iran however, IS shifting blame.

See how Hamas in Gaza murders Palestinians who disagree with their politics. No tear gas...

If the West Bank was given to Hamas, these secular "Avatars" would be in real trouble.

  • @kFIRmAGNOON pt. 2 yes, kaddafi, mubarak, the regimes in saudi arabia and bahrain are terrible. but they are in power in part because of israel! israel was holding out until the bitter end holding mubarak, even calling out western europe and the US for their support for change in egypt. (as pathetic and half-hearted as that support was.)

  • @kFIRmAGNOON mubarak is a fucker. kaddafi is a fucker. but i am so sick if you zinoists trying to shift the blame away from israeli apartheid. don't forget that MANY of the oppressive regimes in the arab world are FUNDED AND PROPPED UP BY THE US, because of AIPAC. don't forget that when mubarak's thugs were shooting people in tahrir square, ISRAEL SENT IN 3 PLANES FULL OF WEAPONS to those thugs.

  • Good thing they didn’t try that in Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Iran, Bahrain or any Islamic country! Their “peaceful” Muslim brothers would have simply shot them dead!
