Love in Vain, great song, written by Robert Johnson, but this lesson is based upon Keith Richard's interpretation of the song. The Rolling Stones first placed it on their Let it Bleed album in 1969, but then performed it on their live set, Get Yer Ya Ya's Out album.

The lyrics:

Well I followed her to the station, with a suitcase in my hand
Yeah I followed her to the station, with a suitcase in my hand
Well its hard to tell, its hard to tell, when all your love's in vain

When the train come in the station, I looked her in the eye
Well the train come in the station, I looked her in the eye
Woah I felt so sad, so lonesome, that I could not help but cry

When the train left the station, it had two lights on behind
When the train left the station, it had two lights on behind
Well the blue light was my baby, and the red light was my mind

Cheers.

  • Thanks for posting this, I alway's loved RJ and TRS version of this song. Never thought I'd ever come close to playing either though. Great lesson!
