Ahhh...Johnny and the Dobblemeister. I remember this song from 1969/70 when I was 12 years old, loved it then, love it now, esp with a few decades of life experience!

Dobbs Franks looks very pleased with himself...and a lot like Robert De Niro

What a masterful and passionate performance of a gorgeous song. All aspiring modern singers should take note that it is not necessary to perform oral sex on the microphone to be heard, but then few if any today have a voice anywhere near the equal of his. Oh, and no auto-tune mike necessary here, just pure class and talent.

I lived in Sydney when this song came out and moved to America shortly thereafter. I wish John would make this version available on CD/download something; it's such a great song and such an amazing performance.

This guy can really sing, this song is so beautiful. I was in love with someone I couldn't have for a long time I lived this song.Johnny no one can sing a love song like you. You don't need the oversing, it's not you, your heart is so in tune with the real thing. Jillian I envy you this man. Great success with your next comeback I know it's imminent. John you wrote a song called 'Pretty Things' yonks ago I heard it once only, it was delightful. May you live forever..<3 Catherine.

Love this song

One of my favourite songs sung by John. What a mesmerising, emotional voice! It has special meaning for me and is the song I think of when remembering my first love. Lost but never forgotten, even though we both went on to other loves.
