80gb Playstation 3 Unboxing

Hey guys, yesterday I finally got a PS3 with all of the money I saved up over the summer. It is a 80gb PS3 for $399.99. It does NOT include Playstation 2 Backwards Compatibility, however you can play most if not all PS1 games on it. I bought it at my GameStop.

NOTE: To explain, this is the newer 80gb model that came out in August 2008-September 2008 for $400. It only has 2 USB SLOTS, NO SD CARD SLOTS, NO CHROME TRIM, and IT DOES _NOT_ PLAY PLAYSTATION 2 GAMES.

IT _DOES_ PLAY PLAYSTATION 1 games.


All of the other models, 20gb, 40gb, 60gb, and the OLD 80gb (MGS4 included) are NOT in production. The 60gb and the OLD 80gb all had PS2 B/C. The 60gb had Hardware B/C (read: near-perfect) and the OLD 80gb had Software B/C (read: emulated, not perfect).

So, if you want PS2 B/C, get the 60gb. Otherwise, just stick with the PS2. Use Ebay/Amazon.

I bought the PS3 for the games that I enjoy to play. I'm not saying that the Xbox 360 is a bad console, but I'm saying that it doesn't interest me.
