Injectables are materials which have been around probably for 30 years now in dermatology. When I was in training as chief resident and LSU and Tulane, we were privileged to be among the first people to try the new collagen injections way back when that were taken from specially selected bovine sources, from cattle. Well nowadays we have a great choice of injectables which are synthetically made to which allergy is not possible and which have such a variety of viscosities and durations that we can, depending on the area to be treated and depending on the issue in that area, the depth of the wrinkle whether it's a very fine line or whether it's a deeper line such as the deep folds that you may recognize (on the cheeks) or sometimes people have deep marionette lines that come from the corners of their mouse. These things can be very easily treated with Injectable fillers. Benson Dermatology - Ponchatoula, LA Louisiana
