The Pearl and The Goddess were done only moments apart, and I think their similarities are easy to see, both in style and content. Both have a 'Greek' feel to me. Both point to simple profundities, The Pearl of course pointing to 'the pearl of great price' so often legended in various writings about enlightenment.
The image holding the pearl looks somewhat androgynous to me, and I like that, and feel it appropriately points to something beyond the superficialities of gender, like the soul finally grasping the pearl of great price.
This profound but subtle painting hangs in my bedroom beside it's twin, 'The Goddess'.
I hope you enjoy.

Oddly enough I see a penis where you see the throat nose area and the hand is holding one of two breast complete with nipple. LOL Maybe it's just me! Haven't made out the rest of that particular picture I'm describing...I do see a train where the "elbow" of the arm holding the pearl. Wish I could see it full size, fascinating!!
