@dragonlasersfanman I cringed when I saw that light reflecting straight in his eye. I agree that you should.t wear them when using the laser for things such as astronomy because you only really see the beam, But when there's a 175mW dot of light about 10 inches from your face I too would rather wear glasses.

You should be watched by an adult with these lasers, Just the radiation coming off of the dot from that close can cause damage to your eye... you need laser glasses

@kaestar5 Laser safety glasses are not always necessary when using lasers. In this situation I too would not wear glasses.

anything above 5-10mW is hazardous..!

@kaestar5 No. With safety glasses, the beam of the laser is not visible which renders the laser useless for many applications. Astronomy being an ideal example.

@giulianolive1 Glasses are generally good to wear but not all the time. For precision burning or for beam effects they can't be worn because they block the beam.
