Tandem Aero Il-18D - Engine Start-up, Run-up Check and Take-off Rwy 26 from Chişinău Airport (KIV)

Window view from Tandem Aero's Ilushin Il-18D, registered as ER-ICB. The flight operated from Chisinau (KIV/LUKK), Moldova, to Kiev Zhulyany (IEV/UKKK), Ukraine, as flight number TDM1410. The flight took place on September 18th, 2010 and was one of the last passenger flights of ER-ICB.

Start-up of engine #2 was aborted or failed, followed by #3, then #2, #1 and then #4. This was the first of three flights that day, carrying a full load of plane geeks to Kiev, Marculesti Air Base and back to Chisinau. The sound of the four Ivchenko AI-20M turboprops are unmatched and will be missed. Also check out my cockpit videos from the following flight that day.

think thats the only passenger aircraft iv seen do a run up check...still a classic great aircraft.
