Jageshwar - Ancient Temples of India ( Himalayas)

Shri Puram Chand Bhatt is a selfless priest, he does not crave for money, he has made it clear that money is not important.

One of the most interesting thing of this temple is the temple of mahishasura mardini , one of the 108 Shakti Peeth(place of worship).

Here the idol of shakti changes 3 -4 times a day , sometimes she is serious and sometimes she is smiling.

She is also known as Pushti Bhagawati Maa, as a respect to mother the priest opens first the temple of the devi by 3 am and after that pujas are done for other temples.

The pujas done in this temple is very unique, the priest while changing the clothes of the idol of mother goddess , closes his eyes till all the rituals of bathing , changing are over.

There is a system here(15kms around Jageshwar) , a child is fed for the first time the prasad( food offering to god) of the devi.

Adi Shankara brought the priest from Konkan region of Maharastra about 1000 + years ago. All the pujas are done as per the instructions of the Adi Shankara.

The last part of the video is Sri Mahamritunjaya Mahadev . There is a story about it .

Long time ago, before the time of Shi Adi Shankara , people used to come and pray to Lord for fulfillment of desire. The Shiva Lingam was so powerful that it used to answer any prayers even if it meant to harm others. Shi Adi Shankara who was on the way to Kailash, came here and did pujas and rectified that defect. So after that only those prayers which are beneficial are answered.

3. Ati Rudra Abhishek
4. Deep dan( donation oil for the ancient lamp which is burning continous)
5. Sri Mahamritunjaya Jap
Chanting of this powerful mantra can be done for people suffering from any physical or mental danger. 99% of such influences can be overcome by this mantra.
