The issue is that she was at her place of business, working, and these thugs come in and strong arm her, embarrassing her in front of her customers, essentially dragging her outside to interrogate her about another individual. She did NOT have to speak with them, whether in a public, private, or any other place. She could have refused to go outside with them or speak to them at all, and that is what she should have done.

Leaving aside your unnecessary ad hominems, you are simply wrong. Federal cops do not have universal jurisdiction, and neither do Congressional enactments have universal reach into the states. The states retain general police power over their internal territories.

Federal police cannot anything they want, and your absurd comment that "there are no restrictions" in a public place as to what the Feds may do betrays you as a statist and tyrant.

Dumbshit, they're Federal cops, they have jurisdiction anywhere in the country. Ivy or any of the others don't have to be on 'Federal Property' you uneducated moron. A Federal Law Enforcement officer isn't even required to notify locals of any operations they may have going on but they do it as a courtesy!! If she was in a public place talking then there are no restrictions as far as what was done by the Fed's, the local cops wouldn't have done anything to them. Key phrase: "Public" Property!

The things that Ivy says the feds threatened her with are outrageous.Ivy should never have gone with them and should have stayed inside so Dave could record the interview.

The feds had no jurisdiction; Ivy was in a public place, not on federal property; she should have refused to speak with them, asserted her 1st and 5th amendment rights, and demanded that they either produce a warrant for her arrest or leave her alone.

If they continued to harass her she should have called the local cops.
