Hey Rifffguy! I love your playing and your tone. Can you rewind a Pickup from an epiphone les paul custom plus so it won't be so bright? If so how much and how long would it take?

I could rewind your pickup to different specs and change the magnet to change your tone. I'd need the pickup for about a week to check it's specs and rewind it.
Normally those Epi humbuckers have a pretty full tone, so you might want to check if there is something else in your signal chain that's causing the excessive brightness.

Couple people said to change the caps. will it make much difference?
ladykungfoo 2 years ago
That will only make a difference if you actually use your tone controls.....most guitarists just keep them at 10 which pretty much bypasses the caps altogether.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Out of the 9000 guitars you own, what's your favorite?

That's a tough question...it depends on which guitar feels & sounds best at the time, This particular SG (61 Reissue) is one of my favorites. It has a great feel and a very warm, articulate tone.
