@Baccalaureus79 - (Borkh) - Not hysterical, at all, IMO. Her type of soprano deserves more attention; it's very sincere but, does NOT fly off, in the higher notes. In this, particular aria ... I think Cheryl Studer, Gundula Janowitz and a few others, did the best of all, except for one other. .... The young Birgit Nilsson, w/Hans Hopf, is exceptional, and Hopf might have his BEST work, in this short aria.

The tenor is great, but I don't like the girl. She is too hysterical.

Great singers!! You can't find voices like these nowadays. Modern singers seem made of light plastic, too politically correct...
