Sung by his fellow Muppeteers toward the end of his memorial which took place in New York on May 21, 1990. I've decided to put this segment back up because it means so much to so many, including me.

I remember my dad was taking me to a muppets exhibition as a surprise over here in the uk. I think he even took me out of school as Jim was due to e at the exhibition. Sadly he passed away the day before. Absolutely gutted to find out as a 9 year old kid but still upsets me today that I was so closed to meeting my hero. This is just wonderful to watch. Thanks for sharing :)

My husband is a grad of the Univ. of MD, where Henson was a grad and has near-cult status on campus. After his death, my hubby and I went to see the statue they erected of him and we both just stood and sobbed. Both of us were children of the 70s and 80s and grew up on the Muppets--life lessons, fun, great songs, and all. Jim Henson, you were a brilliant, talented, and compassionate man, the likes of which will never be seen again. RIP, Jim, in that place where you know the way.

May we all remember what Jim Henson has taught us over the years, whether it's learning to read and count, how to bust a gut laughing, or just learning to care for others, lets remember all these teaching and pass them to the next generation so hopefully they may be wise and imaginative as Jim Henson.
You may have died on Earth, But your legacy and creations still live on.
We love you Jim.

"Just One Person", I think. It gets at me too, mostly because Jim was that one person that believed in everybody.

I just can't imagine he died the way he died. We seriously lost one of the greatest artists of our time.

It's still so sad, all these years later... I can remember hearing the news as a kid, I was only like 7. Fraggle Rock, SS, everything Henson was amazing to me, and even as a kid it never felt the same afterward. To this day it still doesn't feel real, that he's gone. It's like it's some sick joke. RIP Mr. Henson, thanks for everything.
