Fiddle Tunes: Angeline the Baker & Apple Blossom

Luke testing out the Abbotts' newly-restored fiddle on the roof of their Santa Cruz home, with a couple traditional fiddle tunes, Angeline the Baker and Apple Blossom. And he *almost* manages to stay in sync with his foot...those darn triplets...

what did you do to 'setup' the instrument. What tuning?

@WPMinor D'Addario Prelude strings. Medium or whatever's in the middle. Cheap metal strings, but they sound alright and they're very easy to play. :-)

Thanks for the nice comments. We recorded this just for fun, not as a learning video, hence the panning and such. Kyle's gotta have fun too! Next time there'll be less panning.

The tuning is a common alternate fiddle tuning: ADAE. Except, everything's tuned about half a step step lower, i.e., Ab-Db-Ab-Eb

Nice bow work, you utilize your wrist nicely! Thats one thing I have trouble with is using my wrist for quick bow strokes

it's the internet..... ha I really like the bass end of the audio!!! you can really hear your foot which is nice :D and the play'en is great!!!
