Oh! I love your videos. I've been playing muds for years and only recently have I been introduced to Mush. -I'm not a coder so I've been having some problems adjusting to it but I LOVE what you've shown us so far. -Will you be teaching us how to make some of these windows in the future? Please do!

This particular video had some custom plugins written to work with a modified version of SMAUG. They aren't really secret but aren't much use without that server. Visit the site mentioned in the info box above, in particular the plugins section, and you may find some that will help with RP MUSHes. Or you could ask if anyone has one, or perhaps might make one.

Is the map in lower left able to be created for any MUD? it seems awesome hehe :P

Cool.
Thanks for that little tidbit of information. I appreciate it.
My choice has therefore been made: My MUD will use a combination of Mushclient and SmaugFuss (too lazy to program a server by myself, actually) alongside Mudlet -- as a testing instance for my Darwin based server.
A lot depends on what the MUD sends. The particular example in the video had customized stuff from the MUD which made mapping easier. On the MUSHclient forum is a posting which shows adapting the mapper to a different MUD. Try looking for that posting.

Hi there.
Curios. Does the combination of Mushclient and SmaugFuss suffice for all graphical needs?
I'm in the progress of creating a graphical MUD and one of the main requirements is the need for 256 colours (24 bit would be better, though. The map will be pre-rendered, after all).

MUSHclient can render text in 256 colours using the extended ANSI colour code sequences. The graphical windows (like the map) can use 24 bit colour. You don't need SmaugFUSS if you are writing your own server.

It's a private server running SmaugFUSS. I am demonstrating the general idea. Already there have been enquiries about how to incorporate these ideas into public MUDS, when I have more details I'll post them.
